Not sure what to say?

Dr Penick's father was our best loved Bishop when I was a child in Winston-Salem. This fondness stretched over the first years of my marriage when I was in Bloomington, Indiana with my husband a graduate student in the Physics Dept. at Indiana University. Final time I saw him was when he baptized my firstborn son in Chapel Hill. That George was for a time in Iowa City seems like an extension of my respect for his father. I regret I didn't know George and his wife during those times in...

I was so blessed to spend time with George. He became a friend and a valuable person in my life. I have become a better person for knowing and spending time with him. I thank God for bringing us together, and trust that George is at peace in Heaven.

My condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr Penick's passing. I was friends with Andy many years ago and have fond memories or our visits to Chapel Hill. All those mega-phones from UNC games stacked up in the basement. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

My dear friends the Penicks,
From all of the remaining Salisbury family, I offer our deepest sympathy in the death of Dr. Penick. Thanks to all of you for being such wonderful friends when you lived in NC. We missed you so much after you left here. George and Marguerite were my parents dearest friends and had many wonderful times together. God bless you all.

George Jr., Worth (Hal), David, Little Marguerite: So many memories are flooding in upon hearing this news. Your entire family came into my life in 1970 with exuberance and joy; what fabulous times we shared in the Summit St. house. It was a privilege and honor to work with your father; he was such a Renaissance man, interested in a wide range of subjects. I think of him every time I check a dictionary, remembering the special stand he had made for his very large one. His life shall...

My condolences to the family. I have fond memories of time spent in the Penick household as a youth, playing ball or guitar with David. Dr. and Mrs. Penick were always very gracious. I occasionally discussed pathology cases with Dr. Penick in later years.
