George was born on April 4, 1935 and passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019. George was a resident of Arkansas at the time of passing. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 21, 2019 from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Heber Springs Church Of The Nazarene, 206 South 8th Street and funeral services will be at the church on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. by Rev. Marvin Fredericks, Rev. Johnny Lake and Rev. Bob Lothenore with burial in Vilonia Cemetery, Vilonia, Arkansas.
We have lost a great preacher & friend. I had told him he needed to write a book containing his sermon outlines, & I still think that. The celebration service of his life was truly that. He will truly be missed.

Our lives were blessed when our paths crossed with Rev. Petry's. He is an unforgettable person who had a heavenly influence on so many people. When we told Anna, she said, "You mean the one that always told me he loved me more than a mouse loves cheese? Awww....that's so sad!" Our love and prayers are with you, Phyllis.

Dear sweet friends,
We were so sorry to hear about George. We have wonderful memories of him and all of you from our days at First Church in Conway. We had a lot of fun being around all of you in those days and sharing in the ministry. Tracy especially enjoyed activities with your family and at three years old she even felt so comfortable that she just invited all of us to your house for dinner. Turned out to be a great idea!
