GEORGE W. POND

George was one of my people in ceramics class. He loved to paint and he always would pick out special projects to do for family and friends. He always would talk about his family in such a loving way. I feel like I know you all. He enjoyed trying new things and new techniques. He was a special person. Thanks for sharing him with me. I had planned on being at the funeral today so I could express my condolences in person but a family issue is preventing that. George, I miss you.

Mr. Pond was my Guidance Counselor when I was a student at Woodlan High School in the early '70s. He alway was kind and had always had time for me to discuss school or personal issues. As I got older and we saw each other, even after 40 years he would greet me by my name. Mr. Pond was a treasure. My sympathies go out to his family.
