George Posey Jr.

Dear Danette and Family, My sympathy to you all in the loss of Mr. Posey. I remember his smile and his laughter. He brought sunshine with him wherever he went. I remember The Posey Fair every time I drive down Broadway. You are all in my prayers.

My family lived next door to Mr. and Mrs. Posey for many, many years. They were delightful neighbors, quiet, professional, and nice.

I remember their dog Sheeba. Mr. Posey would get up very early in the morning and throw the ball for Sheeba. How do I know this? Mr. Posey was my weekend alarm clock. He generally woke me up each weekend playing with his dog outside, but I would fall right back to sleep so it was okay.

Mr. Posey was my next door neighbor while I was growing up in Chico. I enjoyed reading about his life's story here. Who knew he had such an extensive background!

I always found Mr. Posey to be very friendly. I would come over occasionally to borrow folding chairs for our family gatherings, the Posey's always seemed to have a good supply. It was always an adventure to see his big RV pull in and out of the cul-de-sac and wonder where he was off to. He was also an avid gardner. I...

My sympathies go out to you all at the loss of your dear father. I will remember his happy manner and the bright twinkle in his eye when I visited the family home so many years ago. May God's peace and grace comfort you all.
