Not sure what to say?

What to say about George?
He was a man among men and to no one was a stranger.
Wherever and whenever I met George be it an the grand national roadster show, on the salt flats or in a parking lot somewhere in outer space he always had time to stop, say hello and will will be truly missed by all who ever met him.

I met George at the Grand National Roadster Show when I was with Tom Bryant. Then at Bonneville many times. Always a great conversation about cars and racing. He signed a pic of Speed Demon to the Redding Bonneville racers and titled it. "Catch me if You can" we all loved it and a great memory. He was a class act with Ron Main. He will be missed. I didn't know Mr. Poteet, but I met him at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA. I struck up a conversation with him and got an autograph. He was very cordial and nice. Godspeed George, and my condolences to his entire family.

I didn´t know Mr. Poteet personally but followed his racing career and numerous hot rod builds. Such a loss to the hot rodding community. My condolences to his family.
