George “High Pockets” Pruitt, 70, a resident since 1963 of Santa Fe, Texas, an Ironworker for 25 years with Local 135, passed from this life at his home on Sunday, May 28, 2000. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 30, 2000, 5-8 p.m., at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 31, 11 a.m., at Grace Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Alan R. Splawn. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Team, 1708 Amburn, Suite C, Texas City, TX 77591.
