Not sure what to say?

I remember Bobby Pugh as a "hands on" guy that helped many people even before he was the chief. I remember the times that we officiated basketball games and shared stories. What a humanitarian. I wish condolences to his family and friends.

Marlon, David and the Pugh family:
A man with a great presence!! The days hanging out at your house and then the days on the basketball court allowed me to see he was a great man. Time will help the ease the pain and your memories will lift you up. God Bless!

I t was a pleasure to work for Chief Pugh on the CPD having met the chief when I first started as a dispatcher to becoming a police officer he always had time for you, I especially remember when we had the basketball team and used to play in the YMCA League at the old Federal Street Y to my days in patrol division to detective bureau he would always tell you a job well done, RIP Chief.

Cliff Leary Lewes, De.

To the family, thank you for sharing him with us, the public. My sincerest condolences to you and may God's ministering Angels provide for all your needs during this time. Chief Pugh's example of community policing was such a blessing to the citizens of Camden, as well as his commitment to advance people of color within the police department. He took his oath seriously, to serve and protect!

I loved Bob's (Bobby) first position as chief. It was in school yard at Parkside. You were the chief of all the basketball players that entered. Thanks for making the short 8 year old your first choice. I remember the paddy wagon stopping on Penn Street on Rutgers campus and hearing his voice calling me during his first year on the force. In both positions, he proved he was not only the best at what he did, but the best person. Always enjoyed seeing him and catching up. Behind that great...

Bob interviewed and recruited me out of Camden High School back in 1987. He guided me in the right direction as I joined the Camden City Police Dept in 1988.
He selected me to work undercover with the Camden County Prosecutors Office because he always told me, he saw something special in me.
Well, Bob, I always respected you and saw something special in you. You were always easy to talk with, easy to approach and easy to get along with.
Bob always loved talking sports and even...

My deepest sympathy to Renee and the entire Pugh Family. Chief was a highly respected official, wonderful mentor and great humanitarian overall. As quoted by Niccolò Machiavelli, The Prince (one of his favorites)~ He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command;" and anyone that worked with him can attest to the fact that he was our City's Greatest Example of a Commander and Chief! With Sympathy

Chief Pugh had that "Command Presence" that whenever he walked into a room, in or out of uniform, you knew he was somebody. As a Chief he was a role model for all. Without him I would probably not have been in this position today.
Chief Pugh's passing has shaken my family especially my mother whom he visited at her home, my youngest daughter who took a picture with in his office during her class trip and finally my wife Martha. Our prayers are with Mrs. Pugh and the entire...
