Not sure what to say?

George Quinlan directed the tiny 10 pc band at Providence H.S. in Chicago and completely changed the direction of my life. I went to Sr. Joan and asked if I could join the band. She handed me a French Horn and music was at the core of everything I did after that. Whatever he did to that little group was magic and all I knew is I wanted to be a part of it. I went on to teach, compose and perform music to the present day. Thank you George Quinlan, for your inspiration and guidance.

So Sorry to hear of George's passing. Great Guy who did great things!! I will always remember him wheeling his wife around & the devotion he had for her!! May they both be reunited in peace!!

George was certainly one of my influences in the world of music.

Quinlans....I'm so sorry for your loss. And this is a big one...I just found out. So sorry I didn't know to attend his service. How proud you must be of this man of so many wonderful accomplishments and talents. He touched so many lives in his time it's hard to believe really. He hired me on his crew at the Burr Ridge store when I was just in high school, treated me good, gave me a chance, and I was happy to be near him for the years I worked there. So grateful to have known him....God...

To George Quinlan Family: Many, many thanks for the fond memories and wonderful help throughout my teaching career with personal appearances, presentations, and just plain good times. And also many, many thanks for the just plain good times celebrated through personal contacts after teaching. "Senior," as I got to know him was a one of a kind person who always was on the spot for me. Thanks, Jim Bestman

George Jr & Family,

I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a great man with so many accomplishments. He will be missed.

George Jr.
Sorry to miss your Dad's wake as I was out of town. George was a good man and I looked forward to seeing him every year at the Student Teachers' Workshop. Amazing that at 90 he was wtill able to stop by work everyday. The music education profession just lost another icon. He now joins Lou Ricci, Leo Henning, and Tom Fabish in the big symphonic band in heaven. I can picture them fighting as to who is going to direct.

George and Cindy,
Our deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow.

Prayers are with you, Mr. Quinlan
