Not sure what to say?

I was one of his students back in the 1980s. Now I am chair of the Communication Department at Mercyhurst. Dick was such a kind man and involved teacher. I loved listening to his stories about the early days of rock and roll and of TV and radio.

Peace & Condolences to the Ragan family & close friends. I declared a communications major at Mercyhurst in 1989, earning a BA in 1991. I worked at WMCE-FM 1990-99. Dick was not doubted when he started WMCE-FM in February 1989. Likewise, he believed in me when I declared a comm major after 3 years in the sciences. Some courses were "learn-by-doing", much like broadcasting is. Dick lived and walked by faith. May he & Joan live and walk together with Jesus Our Savior!

Traci, So sorry to hear about your Dad,
our thoughts and prayers to your family.

I had the privilege of working and interacting with Dick when I worked at Mercyhurst. He was a great educator who always put his students first. I am honored to have known Dick. My sincere condolences to all his family.

Mr. Ragan was my student advisor at Mercyhurst College when I attended back in the 90's I was in his Mass Media class & Human Communication class. He always took the time to help his students with any question or problem. I always looked up to him as a mentor. One of those rare teachers you never forget. God Bless you Sir & may he comfort your family at this time of loss.

We are s0 saddened to hear Dick's death. What a great brother-in-law he was! Dick will be missed by many that he came in contact with. We are so sorry that we can't be there. Our prayers are with you.
Love, Dale and Janice
