Proctor Funeral Home - Camden Obituary

George Randall 94 of Stephens, AR departed this life Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born in Stephens, AR on February 26, 1926 to Snow and Martha Randall. He was the first and oldest of 5 siblings; John, Earnestine, Frank and James that all precede him in death.

George never married nor had children of his own, however, he made himself available to many of the Stephens Community families as a dad, friend, helper and provider. His inability to drive or never owning a vehicle never kept him from getting where he needed to go because he walked daily to assist and support those who needed his service, thus being called "Walking George." He never talked because of a birth defect, but he made up his own sign language to communicate to all that knew him. His bright eyes and smile could light up any room or any day.

George was a member of the St. James Methodist Church in Stephens, AR most of his life.

George had lots of fun in his past-time taking care of his hogs and fishing. Combing the woods, he never came home empty handed. He would bring back berries and muscadines.

George received several honors in the city of Stephens such as Citizen of the Year, Man of the Year and was celebrated yearly with a birthday party given by CV of CV's Clothing Store.

George leaves to mourn his memory his sisters-in-law, Lois Randall and Marie Randall both of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A service will be held at 10:00AM Friday, April 03, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 759 Maul Road, Camden, AR.
