I visited George Rebh in his residence in Arlington to show him my fathers pictures from WWII. General Rebh was in several of them and he conveyed fond memories of my father as a soldier. Like the General, my father went on to be educated after the war and stayed attached to the US Army weapons program. General Rebh was the Commander of my father in WWIIin the 406th Combat Engineers. Since I never talked to my dad about it, only learning of his service after he passed, I went to visit General Rebh. I finer gentleman I haven't ever met. He told me many war stories..of his service in WWII, Korea and Vietnam...he remembered and told me what a fine soldier my dad was.
