George S. Rehfield

We knew George for many years at Cedar Point Park. He lived a few doors away and became our "sailing buddy" because he had such a love of sailing and did not have a sailboat of his own. We would sail down to Chuck's in Fontana, moor the boat to have lunch, then return home again. He even painted a picture of us in our boat which hangs in our home now.

Dave also served with George on the Cedar Point Board of Directors for many years.

We will always remember his love...

George's sons may be familiar with the ROMEO's. We were a group of eight guys who met for breakfast every Wednesday morning at Daddy Maxwell's in Williams Bay.

Mostly we talked about sports, sometimes local stuff and sometimes sailing. George was the most knowledgeable of us about all manner of things about sailing, particularly when it came to the America Cup.
