George was on my mind daily as I sorted mail at the AMHS. I spoke with him on the phone occasionally too. He was always so nice, with a great attitude. When I heard he was GM at the tram, I thought he would be great in the job. I know he is greatly missed, and my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Loving husband, joyful Dad, devoted Grandpa, innovative thinker, tireless giver, faithful friend. I am so thankful that I came within George´s orbit. He loved a good practical joke, a good meal, and a good laugh as much as anyone. But my favorite remembrances are of George´s extraordinary kindness and generosity. He made a lasting difference in so many lives, and left a roadmap for us all to follow. My heart goes out to Deb, Ami, Heidi and Peter for your profound loss.

George was a great boss and a true friend. He put great value in family and supported me spending time with mine, even when we were busy at work. He was extremely influential in my son Mark´s life journey. From being a cadet @ CCFR when he was in high school, to attending UAF for fire science, to being a fire fighter with UFD, Kodiak Fire and CCFR. George even supported Mark when decided to leave CCFR to join the United States Navy (USN) to be a Corpsman in an Advanced Technical Field...
