Not sure what to say?

Many memories! Fran, are you still with us? Hope so!

A great man who instilled life's principles in my trip toward manhood while at Wausau Newman

We've lost a great man, and he will be missed. I wish I would have had the chance to see him more often after high school. Coach had a tremendous influence on my life, and I will always be grateful for everything.

Sorry to hear about George's passing. He was a great man. My husband (Lincoln Grad) and myself (SPASH grad) each had Coach Roman for coaching and/or as a teacher. From 2 on 2 basketball to history class, George was always teaching a life lesson, more than a school or sport lesson. He will be missed by everyone who was touched with his humor and grace.
Our condolences to you and your family.

I had Mr. Roman for a history teacher, I actually paid attention in his classes and learned something and remember enjoying it! That didn't happen very often! My Sympathy goes out to the Roman family! He obviously was a pleasure to be around!!! LHS 77'

My sincere sympathy to the Roman family. I have fond memories of George at the family parties.A wonderful Man!!!!

Oh, the stories! Coach Roman knew how to tell stories in dramatic fashion. The cool thing about the stories were they weren't about professional athletes they were about the kids he coached. A lot of them were about his State Championship teams and their victory games. As a player under Coach Roman I know I wanted to give everything I had so maybe I could be part of those stories some day. He was an amazing coach that knew how to push players to their best!

George was a man of Character and Integrity, truly a class act. Anyone lucky enough to have been coached by George will never forget what a wonderful, caring and honest man George was. My sincere condolences, rest in peace George you will live on in our memories. God bless

Best teacher ever. Loved malted milk balls and pepsi. Made history interesting. Compared everything in history to baseball.
