Not sure what to say?

I remember as a child going to one of his shows in the early sixties. Thanks for the memory. Diane Kaney Jannsen

Good friend, Dick Paul died 10 days earlier than George. Neither knew about the other's death. They were old, dear, loving friends. Dick adored George-- I'm glad he didn't know.

This is a heart-felt PLEA to honor George's memory on these pages-- As those of us who were able to attend his Celebration! gathering were reminded and know is true: George LOVED to make people laugh-- loved it! Please share his jokes and/or stories about him IN THIS GUEST BOOK. It will create a living, laughing memorial of George that, I believe fervently, George would have wanted, one that will not only keep us and younger generations of his family laughing, but, c'mon, you knew George,...

George was one of my favorite people to cook for when I worked at the Pacific Way Cafe. I had just told a story about him the day before I heard of him passing. He will be missed.

Oh, George, with the gruff exterior but the soft heart, who made us in KPTV Sales (STILL, Hans down, the best group of people I have ever, or will ever, work with...) all laugh so incredibly hard, so very often-- Please, pleeaase, pleeeaaase tell me you finished even just a first draft of "Perils of Wisdom"...... I can hear you laughing still... about Haaans/Hahhns.... Thank you, George, and Godspeed... Yes, George, Godspeed..... And love... Yes, George, Love....

I was so sorry to read in the paper of George's passing. My condolences to the family. I have known George since High School and have many happy memories of those years. He was a good friend, and will be missed by all.

Our sincere condolences to the Family. George was a big part of our lives for many years. I worked with George at KPTV for 18 years. George and I were the Abbott & Costello of KPTV. We bought our beach homes the same year, went on vacations together, and remained friends for all this time. Carmela and I would see George around town in Gearhart or Seaside. It was always fun to catch up on the latest news. George knew everyone. And everyone knew George.

George was my closest friend and fellow adventurer during our shared time and NCO barracks room in the 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. I cherish the memories and what was a true bond.

I didn't know George for very long but I felt that I knew him well and it was with great joy that I looked forward to coming to our place at Gearhart from Salem to spend the early weekend mornings sipping coffee and chatting with George and solving the worlds problems. I am really going to miss George regaling the early morning Crew (regulars)with his great stories. George and I had a mutual life experience that being our times working in San Francisco and talking about our life's experiences...
