When I received the message that “Big George” had passed over I was hit with mixed emotions. First there was sadness, for both me and my mother (Beatrice T. Davis) for having lost an old friend. Second, prayers of comfort for his family who I know will miss him greatly.

I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Royer's death. He certainly lived life to the fullest! He was a friend to my parents, Jim and Lucille Duncan. He was smart, and an innovative thinker. His political observations were dead on! It was a pleasure to know him.
