George "Rosie" Rupinski, 83, of Whitehall passed away peacefully Friday, September 29, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg surrounded by his loving family. George and his wife, Frances A. (Grossbauer) Rupinski, celebrated 55 years of marriage on May 12th. Born October 17, 1933 in Northampton, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Wenglasz) Rupinski. He was a 1952 graduate of Northampton Area High School. George worked in the roofing industry all his life and was a member of the Roofers Union Local 30. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. George was also a member of the Hungarian Hall and Tri Boro Sportsman Club, both of Northampton. Survivors: wife, Frances; daughters, Karen, wife of John Marchetto and Tina, wife of Thomas C. Nicklas; 3 grandchildren, Cortney Marchetto, Anthony Marchetto and Callen Nicklas; sister, Helene Biggs. George was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Rupinski. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 6th at 11:00 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may gather Thursday 6 - 8:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted to www.reichelfuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to Queenship of Mary Church.
