I never met George Sarkis. My brother/friend Marc Berner would call him whenever he came up from Florida. Marc told me that GS worked on all the greats horns: Bird, Trane the list is a who's who of the history of jazz saxophone. About a year ago, I was into the music of Louis Jordan and I read that in the late '40s or early '50s Jordan lived in Philly.
