We extend our deepest sympathy and highest regards for Colonel Saussy. As a personal friend and colleague, I remember the solid legacy that he forged at Winyah Academy. His leadership in the education community was highly regarded by parents, students, and staff. We all sincerely appreciate his dedication and commitment to teaching and learning.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Colonel Saussy was a wonderful teacher and a great man! He was my favorite science teacher! He will be fondly remembered by those of us who still "press on."

My heart goes out to you at this time of sadness. I fondly remember Col. Saussy at Winyah Academy. I remember him stopping in the hallway to speak and shake my hand.... me! in elementary school! He made a big impression on me at an early age. I've always thought of him since.
