GEORGE SCHINDLER Jr.

Just learned of George's passing. He was an acquaintance and a colleague in the struggle to preserve the Delaware River, when we both were members of a group known as the Save the Delaware Coalition, which was formed in 1959. I'm certain he was gratified at the ultimate outcome and that he was happy to learn that the Delaware River is now the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi. Condolences to the family and RIP, George.
