Not sure what to say?

George F. Scully

Today, August 14, 2003, is Uncle George's birthday and he would have been 80 years old. But the Lord called him home this past June.

I miss hearing Uncle George's Turnpike stories, and seeing the twinkle in his eyes and his beautiful smile. He'll always have a special place in our hearts.

You are not alone in your loss – we will all help you get through it!

George will always remain in our hearts! He showed me a kind and sensitive heart, which always made being in his presence special. He was so proud of his wife, children and grandchildren that his love for them just touched everyone else around him. He was also a very proud American, which is truly appreciated these days. Spending time with him, allowing him to share stories...

I will always remember the great conversations I shared with George about the Yankees. George was a pleasure to know, and I loved him very much, he was like a father to me. The memories of the holidays and our Sunday dinners will always remain close to my heart.

The emptyness we all feel will some day fade but the memories of George F. Scully will remain in our minds and our hearts till the day we shake his hand again in heaven. He was a great husband a natural father and grandfather plus one hell of great Irishmen. He was a man that was remembered by those he knew and those he met. I can't help but think he is up there now driving a bus with Lionel and some others on it during the week and taking Saint Peter out for a...

Aunt Mil, Kathy, Noreen and Family,
Richard and I were saddened to hear about Uncle George. I, of course, have fond memories of him over the years. Richard "Richie" to him always felt he was "one of the good guys." He always enjoyed talking with him. Uncle George's personality and sense of humor always came through. Our warmest "Aloha" to him.

Dad,
You were a devoted husband, father and grandfather. You loved us all unconditionally and you never hesitated to share your feelings.

I'm proud to say you were my father. You provided us with a good upbringing, instilling in us all a strong work ethic and a strong sense of family.

Your devotion to your Country and your committment to the memories of the USS Montpelier were such fine attributes.

Yesterday at the funeral the priest said...

God bless you Uncle Georgie. The world is a better place because of guys like you and your generation.

I was sorry to hear about George. You know that God has him with him in a much better place. You both were so sweet to my mom and dad - Chris & Lou Wintter.
God bless you both. Thank you.
