I was fortunate enough to get to know George in the mid 80’s as a groom working for one of his trainers, Bud Teeters. George loved his horses. What I remember most about George is that he would stop by the fairgrounds with enough carrots not just for his horses, but enough carrots for the entire stable. He loved harness racing and made it enjoyable for all the people that he surrounded himself with...God Bless.
