I have the fondest memories of one of my "favorite" Uncles. Uncle George was a kind and peaceful soul, with a great sense of humor and kindness that were memorable traits. I can still hear his voice and his laughter. It was easy to be around George, and I could not imagine anyone that knew him not being sad and happy with his passing. I have so many fond memories of my dear uncle but here are a few.

Uncle George was very loving to everyone and outwardly showed this to me many times over the years. As a child I remember visiting Plainfield and the first place we would go (after settling in at Gramma's) was the mill. He would light up like a Christmas tree and let us look down into the grinder. Also I remember on Saturday mornings at Gramma's being awake and hearing him come in and stomp the snow of his boots. ...
