Not sure what to say?

To the Shinn Family,
Sympathy to the family. Living in Southeastern Ohio, I am proud and happy to find such an illustrious man from Newark, Ohio becoming so successful; especially academically.
May he long be remembered.

Dear Shinn family,

I am so saddened to hear of your loss
and extend my condolences. I have such
fond memories that take me way back to
the old Kynlyn Road days. You are in my
thoughts and prayers.

To Mrs. Shinn & the Shinn Family,
I read the article in The NY Times and was amazed to learn of George's accomplished life. I will always remember him as the neighbor in Killington who would don his kilt and play his bagpipes for us on special occasions. I remember his intellect and wit as well. I am sorry for your loss and wish you peace during the coming year.

As a friend of the family, especially of George Shinn's daughters, I think of his engaging and energetic presence at home in Vermont and Maine. His curiosity, acumen, and sense of humour are among the endearing qualities that I remember from days spent in Mr. Shinn's company. I am grateful, and wish the family well as they adapt to life without Mr. Shinn as anchor and compass.

Another from the 'Greatest Generation' in God's care.
Thank you for your service.

Dear Shinn Family,

I am deeply saddened at the passing of your father and grandfather. He was a true gentleman and gentle man. I enjoyed his company each time we drove to the airport together. The world is less rich at his passing and he will be missed by all who knew him.
