To Ceal and the Slough family,

I was blessed to meet George and Ceal through the Jefferson Center about six months ago. While our time together was brief, George's impact was HUGE...always a smile on his face and a friendly greeting to the Jeff's patrons. George leaves a legacy of sharing kindness, care and humor with friends and strangers alike - an example we can "pay forward" in our own lives to honor how George lived his.

I ran the Home Plate Beer stand for about 3-4 years and recently moved to Lexington SC. I could always count on George for a good laugh, especially after one game in particular...He told the crowd: It's time to go...I don't care where you go but you can't saty here!

He will be greatly missed and my prayer is that God will bless your family during this time of loss.

Mrs. Slough, Geralyn,Carl and family, sorry to hear about your Dad.. I use to see him at all the Salem Ball games...I remember him from all the games at Roanoke Catholic... My prayers are with your family...Gail Hayes Smith ,Salem

Mrs. Slough and family,

I first met George through my parents, JoAnn and Roger Boucher. He was a wonderful man, who never met anyone he couldn't call friend. He was never without a smile. I will miss him and his straw hat at the game tonight, but know he will be ushering the game from heaven. I am so glad to have known George, and even though he was not family, I loved him just the same.
