George Smith Jr.

George was one of a kind. He was a fair and honest man. He was a true southern gentleman. He loved his sweet wife Momma Rose sincerely.He would sometimes wear a bow tie. If you mentioned it he would just grin. I learned a lot about work ethics and life in general from George. We worked together in the Trust Department for a number of years. He will be greatly missed. It saddens me very much to know he passed away. May our Lord bless and comfort the family as no one else can do. Lue Barnes

Mrs Rose, David and Grant. This hits close to home. I am sorry for you loss. Mr George's passing will be felt by so very many whom he influenced and helped be better men and women. He was a mentor in so many ways. He personally bettered me through his Sunday school leadership at FUMC Anniston and other venues through my friendship with him and the family.
