The contra dance community has lost an outstanding leader and friend. May it help to know many friends are sharing the sorrow of the loss of George in our hearts.

George has been a friend for 36 years since meeting at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Santa Monica. Sharing updates in our spiritual journeys, as we each relocated across country several times since then, has been a joy. Blessings for his family & loved ones at this time.

George will be missed by all of us who knew and loved him. He was a kind-hearted, fun-loving friend, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle. He was a brilliant lawyer, and he loved to embark on new adventures and try new things. He played hard and worked hard right up to the end. We'll miss you very much, Uncle George.

George was a guiding light for the Chattahoochee Country Dancers and a very generous volunteer for the organization. He had a big heart and touched many people. My heart goes out to Andrew, Peggy, Liz and his family and friends who will miss him.

George was a very good friend when he lived in Portland during his young adulthood. I was working then at Legal Aid Service and he was a private attorney. He was a very kind person and smart. I got my first pet from him: Jelly Bean, a cat he picked up in central Oregon. We've stayed in touch through the years. I will miss him.
