George was a great guy and a gentle giant. He always had a smile on his face and students loved him. He loved his family most of all. It was a privilege to work with him at Timberline High School.

I knew George as both a football coach and a wrestling coach. The thing I loved about him was he never Ed raised his voice. My favorite line from happened during practice. To let us know he was disappointed with our effort he said "what a bunch of pansies, I bet you all sleep on satin sheets" that was classic George.

George was a senior when I was a freshman at WSU, and was a member of the fraternity I pledged, Sigma Phi Epsilon. I also became a football manager that autumn so I got to watch George in two capacities, a brother and a great interior lineman. He was a class act, blessed that he came my way.

I am praying for Mary Jane and the family. I am sorry I can't attend the funeral mass as I am ill. I am also praying for George's soul.
