Harlingen, Texas - As all who know our family are aware, a good story always starts like this:NO JOKE, THERE I WAS... on July 2, 2022, when Daddy, Dr. George William "Chuck" Speck, died of cancer. In fact, the whole family was there, wife, kids and grandkids, supporting him in his last moments....

Not sure what to say?

I´m just seeing this news 11/1/23 and am saddened, always fondly speaking of the great Dr. GWS. We worked together ( me in surgery with you) in Nac. You did my 2 C sections, each with its own set of drama you enjoyed teasing me about, plus my 3rd surgery you later did with a unique perforation the day before your family vacation to Disney World. After your return, I played a trick on you. A funny story about your Dad, I´d be happy to share. (972.310.4513) You were always an OB and surgery...

I miss Dr Speck. As pilots and my FAA Medical Examiner we became good friends. We shared flying experiences and worked together at Sun Valley Aviation during aviation summer camps. May he rest in piece.

I just learned of Dr. Specks passing , he was the best ever doctor ! I am so sorry for your loss , I had so hoped he had kept his practice in Harlingen. The most kindest, honest and caring doctor ever ! Enjoyed every visit with such a personable person. He will always be greatly missed but never forgotten. God bless you his family for sharing your stories of his life. He was certainly blessed with each of you & us the patients he helped at each visit!! God bless him. God bless...

Dr. Speck was one of our favorite patients, always came in with a smile and great attitude. He will be greatly missed.

Condolences to the family and so sorry for your loss.

I enjoyed reading this obituary. It seems like Dr Speck lived a full life. If I had continued living in Harlingen after high school graduation, I would have liked for Dr Speck to have been my OBGYN. My condolences to all. May he Rest In Peace
