Not sure what to say?

Dr. Speck did a C-section to deliver my daughter, Danielle Renee Leasure Matthews,on April 1, 1971. I had been going to another doctor and was bleeding nd was told that if you are going to ha a miscarriage so be it. I called my mom in Zac and her doctor in Florence to hr to have me get on a plane immediately and he would see me. He found Dr. Speck and I started seeing him. I will be eternally grateful to him for saving my daughter!

David, I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing. The loss of a parent is always painful. May it bring you comfort to know that he will always be with you in spirit, and that your memories of him will always keep him close. In this time of sorrow, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences go out to Betsy and the entire Speck family. Dr. Speck was one of a kind! He was my doctor from 1968 until he retired, and my 2 sons were among those 5,000 Alexandria babies he delivered. What a terrific doctor and man to be admired. He will be remembered fondly. Ann Smith Hughes

David and Betsy,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. What a great individual he was. I remember so fondly the fishing trips to Ocean City and the pheasant hunts we all had together. So many people got their beginning with his gentle hands. The wonderful memories you both have will last a lifetime.
Carolyn and I will be thinking about you during this time of adjustment.

Betsy and David,

I am very sorry to learn of your father's passing. May the memories of this kind and gentle man always be with us. He was, and always will be a giant among men.

Dear Betsy and David,
After forty-nine years of addressing your father as Doctor Speck, last year I was invited to call him George -- and now I won't have further opportunities to enjoy that new privilege! He was a surrogate father to me when I was in high school, and some of the advice he dispensed to me then was the wisest I've ever heard. Also, he was my most recent date -- he took me to lunch a couple of years ago. I'll miss him and always think of him with great affection.
Lots of...

My thoughts and prayers are with Dr Specks family..... He was one of our team drs when i first came to Hammond in 1960. Many after game get togethers on key drive . A great man who found a way to be happy serving others Dave I will be thinking of u

Dear Betsy and David,
My sincere condolences to you and your families on the death of your father. I have wonderful memories of him at your backyard pool parties. He and your mother were remarkable people.

Betsy and David,
I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have so many fond memories of him and both of you. Who could forget the annual water pageants in your pool with your Dad providing refreshments? I still remember him signing my autograph book with his name in Greek (Leepy Zock - or something similiar.) I feel lucky to have shared part of his life.
