Not sure what to say?

George was a regular at the YMCA where he touched the lives of a great many people, myself especially. When I first met him, I learned that George was an avid runner and do we swapped a lot of stories about his and my experiences doing this. George was also a regular swimmer at the Y, and when he came to the pool he always took more than a few minutes to talk to me as I lifeguarded. When I learned he was an organist, I started streaming organ pieces and classical music on my speaker system...

I was sad to hear of George´s passing. I got to know him while he swam regularly at the Allegheny Valley YMCA as I lifeguarded. We discovered that we had the love of swimming and music in common; both of us serving a church organists. He was a very kind person. My prayers are with you and your family as you cope with such a heartbreaking loss.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

To George, my fellow tenor, and my partner playing Cesar Franck's "Prelude, Fugue and Variation" for organ and piano. George Armstrong

I knew and liked George from singing with him in the Bach choir. My condolences to the family.

I was shocked and saddened upon hearing of George's passing. He was such a lovely and caring gentleman. I will miss seeing him daily at the Y.
