If he is the right one, he was the First Sergeant in the 444th Medical Clearing Company USAR and he was a good friend. I ended my enlistment after 8 years because I went back to school. He was funny, well indoctrinated into the military culture and I highly respected him then and even in spirit. A great man whom I saw last at a reunion of the 309th Field Hospital around 1983(?)

George was one of the most amazing men i have ever met. He was a very kind soul,generous, and very funny. He was the kind of guy that made you say,wow he looks at a glass half full instead of a glass half empty.He always talked to me of all the things he enjoyed doing in some stages of his life. Did not spend alot of time around him, but when i did he shared his kindness,his compassion,his strength ,and understanding. Most of all his very funny humor. We love you George,and we miss you so...

My Husband George was the most courageous man that I have ever known.
He was so loved by so many people and respected as I have spoken to many of his friends and family.
We together faught this battle and nothing would slow him down. He actually worked right up to July 8th doing inspections. I drove he inspected. We both took each day as it came and kept on going. We vacationed as much as we could and did so much in such a short time.

George was a great guy and and great teacher. I had George for my plumbing code night classes at smith voc, he was a good decent person who will be sorely missed.
