Bob and I have lost a very great friend who can never be replaced. Our children thought he was the greatest. He was the best boss I had in my 40 years of working. Kurt, I did talk to you when I lived in Brownsville and feel like I know you from all the stories I heard about you. Mr. Stephen, I hope I will have the pleasure of meeting you one of these days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

When I was hired as a secretary in Intelligence Division in Houston, TX (1961), George Stephen was the Chief (located in Austin). Our paths have crossed several times in the past few years (from the grocery store to visiting him at his assisted living residence). We lost track of him when he left the Marriott Gardens and are so sorry to hear of his passing--wish we could have visited him again. May God bless you with many good memories.

Mr. Stephen was the most intelligent, loving & generous man that I have ever met. Knowing him was such a blessing to me and it was my honor to participate in his care when he became ill. He taught me many things in the short months I knew him; the most important being how to "smell the roses", as he always said. Mr. Stephen remains an immense inspiration to me and will forever be with me in spirit. I'd like to thank his wonderful family for all the love and kindness they gave to me, as well....
