I knew George mainly though our association in Corvallis Little League. He was a great caring coach who worked hard to help develop Corvallis youth on many levels. I always had great respect for George and will miss him.

George was a great friend (and boss) of mine while working at Oregon Climate Service in the early 1990s and then remained close friends. He was truly an amazing person that made a positive impact on me, those around him and the weather community. I will never forget him and be forever grateful for his impact on my life and career. Rest in peace my great pal.

I too am grateful to have known George from the time I first met him at his coffee shop to the last time we visited there.
