George Bryson Thomas Jr.

One of my favorite professors. I enjoyed seeing him at Jefferson Literary and Debating Society Sippers a few years back. I´m so sorry for your loss. He was a remarkable man and beloved professor.

Dr. George Thomas served as my dissertation advisor at UVA and was most helpful in my completing the terminal degree in philosophy. He and I shared a few tennis games during my years as a graduate student; he did seem to enjoy sports, as the obituary indicated. I have thought of him often, particularly in recent years as age has underscored the temporal quality of life. My heart hurts for your loss, wishing you peace amidst so many warm memories of a remarkable man.

Sally you are in my heart and on my mind as I think of your loss of one of the finest men I have known. He was a true scholar but so much more. because he lived the truths he taught. True wisdom such as George's is in short supply these days - he will be terribly missed by all of us, but most especially by his loving family.

Sally, Donna and I are so sorry to hear of George´s passing. He was such a fine gentleman.
