I worked with George for years at YRC. Always enjoyed his sense of humor and stories. A very talented mechanic and welder. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

I am so blessed to have met George and Nancy on our trip to Portland last November. The treasured friendship that Mark (King) and George shared was so evident. A beautiful sight to see all the "old working boys" having a great time reminiscening over dinner. George was a character with a unique style all his own and a caring concern for all those who were blessed to call him friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Nancy, as you and the family move through the days and weeks ahead. ...

So sorry to hear of Georges passing. I always enjoyed talking to him when he came in for his dental visits. He usually had a fun project going that he would tell me all about. And was always a happy encouraging man. He will be greatly missed.

George was one of those colorful individuals that burn a spot in our memories of times past. I worked with him for 20 years at Yellow Freight in Portland, he was always good for a laugh, a lot of times at himself. Rest easy my friend.
