Not sure what to say?

George and I were very good friends. He loved life and always was up for a great adventure.
He loved people..a true extrovert. I think of him often as his memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

George and I were squadron-mates in VP-11 (Patrol Squadron Eleven) in Brunswick Maine. I flew my navigation check-ride with George (successfully, I might add). Later, My wife and I tried to purchase a Siamese kitten from George. That didn't work out too well, as the kitten tried to run up the inside of my wife's robe. She drew the line at that, and George took the kitten back.
We spent some good times together in the squadron, and my memories will always be good ones!

I got to know him very well in Wisconsin. May his family now have peace as George goes to his reward in the afterlife.

To George's family: Our sincere sympathy on the passing of George. He was a faithful and engaging fellow pilgrim as he attended our biblical study sessions at Crossways International. We have missed him, but know that he has peace and relief from his courageous struggle. He has received his welcome hug from Jesus! Harry and Chloris Wendt and CI staff.

George and I were friends for the past several years. I felt privileged to spend time with George during his last weeks. He had many good friends and wonderful neighbors. He was a loving and giving person. He left us way too soon.....

What a piece of work he was.
The eyes are the windows to the soul.

To the Family of George,
My deepest condolences for the loss of your son and brother. I was George's neighbor for only three years and during that time came to love him, deeply. He was a true gentleman and scholar. George taught me many things. Most precious among them is birding. Whenever I hear the birds sing, I think of him. It will be so much more poignant now. My one regret is that we parted on bad terms. I apologize to him and you, his family. I pray he is dancing on...

Please accept our sincere condolences on Dad, Grandpa, and Father-in-law George's death. We met him only briefly on several occasions at Jon and Gwen's, but know that he was loved and will be sorely missed by his family and loved ones.
