Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to read of Georges death.Like Ruth I am a relative but from New Zealand. Alexander was a younger Brother of my Great Grandfather John Urquhart who came to NZ in 1879. Ruth and I have met, and like her I would dearly love to get in touch with more Urquhart Relatives so at some stage would appreciate contact from someone. I have lots of photos and info on the Family while they were in Scotland.

Kindest Regards

My name is Ruth, and I am a 66 yesr old Scot. George's grandfather Alexander Urquhart was an older brother of my grandmother Mary. For years my mother told me about uncles who had gone to the USA in the 1880s, but I failed to trace them until now. I am so excited, and would love to make contact with members of the family. Unlce Alex was very good to the folks back home, and I would love to share stories.

I saw George as kind and easy-going, intelligent and funny. His passing leaves a big empty space. My thoughts are with all of his family.

What an amazing man: intelligent, humble, gracious, faithful...skilled at many things... a person of great integrity and unfailing service to others. Mostly though, I remember George as a true and lasting friend... one who always spoke the truth as he understood it and listened with genuine and sincere care. Always a blessing to me and to our Parish of St. Luke's in Atascadero, California. Our prayers surround him and the whole family... and the community of Smithville United Methodist...

A great father, husband and friend. George will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Urquhart. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
