George M. Van Cott

I am so sad to learn about the loss of George. We grew up together in Red Hook and he was my first "boy friend". I knew his parents and his sister, Nora, and his brother, Phillip. Dear Angela, Kristen, And George Michael,

I just heard the news of Mr. Van Cott's passing and am so sad. I was lucky enough to have him as a QB coach at Masco. Back in 1994 after I finished college, he took me along to help on a few jewelry shows in upstate NY. I just heard about the loss of George. My prayers are with you. George was my quarterback at St. Francis Prep(Brooklyn). Goerge was from Redhook where we practiced and he "guided us out of harm's way" a quality guy from the start.God Bless him and all of you.
