Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to learn about the loss of George. We grew up together in Red Hook and he was my first "boy friend". I knew his parents and his sister, Nora, and his brother, Phillip. He was kind and funny even as a kid. I lost touch with him and his then buddy, Vinny D'Esposito shortly after their 1st year in college. We corresponded for a short time and they came to visit me in Brooklyn. But I have wonderful memories and lots of pictures. If anyone in the family is interested in the...

Dear Angela, Kristen, And George Michael,

I just heard the news of Mr. Van Cott's passing and am so sad. I was lucky enough to have him as a QB coach at Masco. Back in 1994 after I finished college, he took me along to help on a few jewelry shows in upstate NY. During those times he shared many stories with me and taught me many lessons about business and life that I will always remember. I had just lost my father at that time and his taking the time to talk with me and spend that...

I just heard about the loss of George. My prayers are with you. George was my quarterback at St. Francis Prep(Brooklyn). Goerge was from Redhook where we practiced and he "guided us out of harm's way" a quality guy from the start.God Bless him and all of you.

Kristen,
My mosy positive thoughts go out to you and your family at this time of loving remembrance.

Never having had the pleasure to meet George, I can only look to Kristen and GM as evidence of his great inspiration, guidance, wisdom, and love. Our thoughts are with you all.
Love, Bronson & Sam

From the day George joined us at Ocean Edge he enriched us with his stories about his past sporting achievements and his love of his family. He was a wonderful guy. I’m sorry for your loss. George, rest in peace.

He was a second father to me. For the many times I was down, George always had the right words to give me the strength and courage to carry on. Winston and I will miss you George.
