To the Van Deree Family:

My decades-long (since 1968) history of association and friendship with the late George Van Deree has been one of the most pleasant experiences of my life. Despite the fact that we both came from different nationality, culture and religion, and in spite of long physical distance often revailing between us, we always felt so close to each other that nothing would ever come between us.

Throughout the years of acquaintance, we watched each other's family...

Your Dad's heart was always bigger than his body. He welcomed you. Everyone who was a part of your Dad's life is a better person because of it. I sometimes think he would find excuses to help other people.

I remember your Dad as being intensely loyal to your family, always concerned for everyone's well being and safety. I envied that about you when we were growing up. I know you will miss your Dad so much, take heart that he is with his LORD. Much love to you in this sad time.
