Not sure what to say?

Although I never met George, he was a member of the 31st family, and as such all 31ster share in the grief of his loss.

my name is george w vickers, 42 and I stay in glasgow. sorry for your loss, my grand father was in no4 commando during wwII and also called george vickers. i have never came accross another george vickers and if he was anything like my granddad he was a fine man.

George will certainly be missed by members of the 31st Bomb Sq. Association. He served with distinction on the crew of the "Cisco Kid" and visited me several times in the 20th Station Hospital on Guadalcanal after I was severly wounded on August 26, 1943.

We enjoyed talking with him at many of our reunions.

Hey Guys,
Uncle George will be missed. I don't remember him without a smile or a joke. He was a great uncle and a good dancer. When I think of him I can't help but smile.
Love you guys,
Ed and Jackie

Greg & Pam,
Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers in this most difficult time!

George was a beloved and honored member of our 31st Bombardment Squadron (H) of World War II. He served with courage and valour as a B-24 gunner in the fight for the Solomon Islands, some of the toughest aerial missions of the entire Pacific War. We shall miss him greatly.

Dear Renee & Family,
The loss of his presence in your lives I'm sure will always be felt. Peace & grace to all of you in the tough days ahead.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
