Not sure what to say?

George coached me for 6 years at Wonposet. He played a huge role in my development as a teenager and a man. He took great joy is his role as coach and counselor. There are many more kids like me whose lives he touched. He will be missed.

Mr. Walsh was one of my favorite basketball coaches. I played for him from 1973-1975 at Jerusalem Ave. JHS. He was a great teacher! He was kind and fair yet stern when he had to be. He worked us hard but at the same time, always made practices fun. He was a blessing to all those who had an opportunity to play for him. I still have a caricature drawing that he made of me. I will always remember and appreciate him coming to visit me in the hospital after I had major knee surgery and...

I had the privilege of working with George in the summers of 95,96 and 97. He was an absolute gentleman. He taught me archery (something I had always wanted to do), gave me tips on racehorses, introduced me to Calvin and Hobbs and spoke with passion about Camp Wonposet. He explained the finer points of baseball and his love of the Red Sox. Goerge had the two best jobs in the world; a teacher and a councelor at Camp Wonposet.... Rest in peace George.
