Not sure what to say?

Sue, David and Sherri,

What an amazing, special person! Bill always called him "the Honorary Mayor of Ft. Myers" since he knew everyone and everyone knew him.

It was a gift to be his friend.

Mary Anne Scanlon

Sue, David & Sherri, My heart is broken. Such sad news to read on Facebook tonight. I wish we didn't live so far apart as I would love to give you a big hug right now. Leslie and I will always remember our 1976 visit with you all and George taking us out in the country to his favorite hunting ground. Our love and sympathy to you all.

Sue so very sad to hear this news. I remember George from Edison Park Elementary and also when you two started dating. What a beautiful couple you two made. So sorry. May God wrap his loving arms around you especially and your beautiful family. I love you and will pray for God's peace and love to sustain you.Phoebe Millership Freeland

George, You will certainly be missed but never forgotten. You left behind a beautiful wife and family and more friends than you could possibly ever count. Thank you for all the memories over the past years. I, along with so many others described you as "Gruff on the outside, but soft on the inside", you were that teddy bear and you never really fooled any of us.... Remembering that special laugh, I smile through the tears. Its hard to say goodbye but comforting to KNOW we will see you again...

I am truly sorry to hear of George's passing. He was a wonderful gentleman and cherished by everyone who knew him. He truly loved his family and the history of Fort Myers.

I will certainly miss hearing all his wonderful, exhilarating, and amusing stories. I learned so much about him, his family and Fort Myers.

He will be deeply missed. Condolences to his wife and family.

So, so sorry for your loss...what a wonderful man. Your family is in my prayers.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences.
