Not sure what to say?

Clifford White was my godfather, and I have fun memories of both the Hardy Boys books that he gave to me in my youth, and staying at his house in San Francisco. He also took me around to visit sites affected by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, and I remember looking in, and possibly standing in, the ditch preserved in the earth 80 years later. He also taught me to open windows on both sides of the car on a hot day in order to aerate the car! I learned that as a young boy, but but have...

It is a sad day indeed to read of the passing of my friend George; and all the more so since the news is only now in front of me. George offered his friendship so graciously one year, when I met him at a seminar in Phoenix. We talked about many things that day, more personal then technical. I learned so much while working for Wallace and Tiernan (George) in San Francisco. I shall be forever grateful for the experience also fond memories of the organ concerts at George's home.

I learned a great deal from the private meetings I sat in on between George and the late Bob Baker of W&T. I am proud to have a copy of one of his chlorination books in my library that George signed for me.

Gary F. Trojak, Retired, The Chlorine Institute, Inc.

Your work inspired so many and led so many of us to the right direction about chlorination and disinfection. I was fortunate to hear you speak about your favorite subject. Thank you for incresing my knowledge. God Bless. May Heaven's Waters be cleaner now with you there.

I was honored to have known George Clifford White. He attended both Pasadena High School and Stanford University with my father, Brooks Morris, and I am proud to have shared so many career connections with him myself...Director, CWPCA; Fellow, ASCE; Director, WEF; Diplomate, AAEE; Life Member, AWWA; etc.

Mr White, words can never say it all and so your memories will always remain in our hearts and never fades away. Have a safe trip home where there is no pain and suffering.

Augusta; we are sad to learn of Cliff's demise. He has been asked for by many of the Wednesday lunch group. It was very graciouis of you to bring him to our function when he was capable. We sincerely hope he did not suffer during his last days. Serenity House
