Raeford & Family,

Mr. Wideman was one of my teachers at Lincoln. I remember him fondly walking down the halls and in his classroom. I can see the classroom so clearly. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate the homecoming of Mr. Wideman. Celia Rice class of 1968.

Mr Wideman was one of my teachers when I graduated high school from Lincoln in 1955. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate his homegoing.

Mr. Wideman will be missed! He made my day at eden terrace. He would smile and and crack some kind of joke to make time go by at work. When he was happy I was happy. When he cried I cried.I will always remember him in a special way! I love and miss you Mr. wideman (BOSS MAN)

The one thing that was different about Mr.Wideman was that he did not make me feel as though he judged me. What he did do is tell me that I deserved better for myself and my future. By the time I graduated I was starting to have a different attitude. It took another 3-4 years before I totally put my life on track, but today...

Raeford & Family,
Your father has meant so much to me and my family over the years. Words cannot express the thanks that I have for your father's encouragement, his willingness to share life's experiences, and his compassion. He was a beacon of light for so many lives that he came in contact with, especially during his teaching years. I know he will be missed by us all. May God Bless You and Keep You forever in His Hands.

Mr. Wideman were my husband and I
teacher all through high school. He
tought me how to drive.May God bless and keep you in this time of sorrow.

I was happily reminded of Mr. Wideman's same old familiar big smile when I saw his picture again. I have never forgotten his constant kindness to me throughout high school. I can only imagine how many lives he touched the way he did mine.
