Not sure what to say?

George was an amazing man. and Karen/ Karinaaaaa i am looking for you please contact me. [email protected]

Hey George....The first time we met was at my son's school and that was the beginning of many blessings to come. Thank you for your many kindness to several family members, our times with the Karen who introduced us and your generosity when you met my mom. Not a day goes by without thoughts of you, your warmth and beautiful soul. I pray that you are enjoying your time with our friends who have passed on. I will always love you....my forever candle

I read that he said that he would not be remembered, and that it was a good thing. I have bad news for him. He will be remembered!

I went to see him in concert in Minneapolis when I was in college in the early 90's. His music helped me through many long study nights and meant something really special to me. He truley will be remembered and his music enjoyed always. December is my favorite and I am listening to him play right now and it brings me such comfort and makes my mind feel at peace. May George be playing for all the angels right now.

The news about George’s passing was devastating to me and, no doubt, to every other heartbroken fan and friend of this wonderful man and musician.

So many songs that brought a smile to my face, a tear to my eye, joy to my heart, and peace to my soul.

Longing / Love, Rain, Before Barbed Wire, Thanksgiving, Colors / Dance, Fragrant Fields, and Where Are You Now among my long, long list of favorites.

Thank you, George, for the honor and privilege of watching...

The man was the gatekeeper of my peace for decades,...I saw him in Madison Wisconsin on my birthday,...I was so excited,...He had a feel that no one else I've heard has,...The world is a darker place without his light to guide us,...Love you George

Years ago when a college student, I was listening George Winston while doing homework at the kitchen table with my back to the window. I thought I heard rain coming down, so turned to look out the window. It was sunny. Was puzzled at first. Then realized the music made me think of rain. I checked the cassette to figure out which song I was listening to and it was RAIN. That's when I realized that George was brilliant. He had captured the sound of the rain. So sad to hear of his passing. So...

We would like to say thank you for the beautiful landscapes he painted with his music
