Not sure what to say?

I met George Yellowhead in Montreal. His female friend asked if I wanted to buy his paintings. I bought his Dancing Healer, Standing Firm, Timber Wolf painting. I have them hanging above my desk and often think about him. He was a great artist. I do not know why but today was the day I looked him up on google and found this page.

I bought one of his paintings. He was at Dundas square. We spoke for a long time.

Close Encounter

Sorry to hear of Georges passing away. I own his painting (First Encounter) which I really like. Similar to First Meeting, I’m sure he drew lots of similar paintings as he travelled across Canada........Mike

May your gentle soul Rest in Peace, + George Yellowhead. First Meeting, 2001, Purchased Toronto, NW corner of Bloor & Spadina, Summer 2001. Me too, Janet Fisher - looked up our wonderful Canadian brother today, and learned of his passing. Condolences and sympathy to his family. Here is another of his paintings of two Canadian Loons, so beautiful. Thank you, George.

First Passing

I am so very sad to hear this news. I have one of his prints that I look at every day. I have always wanted to find him again. I'm so sorry his life ended too soon. He was kind and gentle, talented and strong. He sold his work in the street near where I lived. I have always cherished that bit of him that I have in my home. It is entitled 'First Passing". I had always wondered if this was part of a series, if there was a 'Second Passing'...

I have a painting of George's that I bought here in Toronto in about 2006 or 2007. It is a beautiful stylized image of three Canada geese, in black and yellow lines, with blue, red, or green accents distinguishing each goose. I love this painting. I keep it in my livingroom and have always enjoyed looking at it. I only thought to look him up online today, and am sorry to hear that he passed away so soon. My condolences to his loved ones.

My condolences to his loved ones. We talked about music, he said he liked CCR. I bought two of his small pieces because I thought they were beautiful. I looked around for him many times after, wanting to buy more, but never saw him again.

My condolences to the Yellowhead family. I bought one of George's paintings when I lived in Toronto a number of years ago. I look at it every day and appreciate the time he took from his life to bring beauty into the world.
