I am so sorry to hear about Georgene's passing. For the short time I knew her she was always so kind and I remember her always smiling.

I still have one of her Turtle Love watercolor paintings hanging in my home, it's moved with me three times over the last 20-something years. I will always remember her kindness and, silly as it sounds, the terrific refrigerator pickles that she made and shared with my family.

Decades ago, when I was only 8 years old, I saw a small picture, somewhere, she had painted. It was just a tiny oil painting of a little girl with a box of kittens.

I loved it. And wanted it very much! We, already had two of Robert Nidy's prints, way before they had established their studios and became the names they are in the Art world.

My Mom bought me that little painting. It sat on my night stand for decades, and I just passed it on to my niece this Summer as part of her...
