GATE CITY, VA - Georgia Jo Ann Quillen, 81 of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the comfort of her own home after an extended illness. Jo Ann was the daughter of the late Hubert and Clyde Ball. She was a former employee of Eastman Kodak and Clinch River Health Services. Jo Ann was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, excellent housekeeper and a cat lover. She was a member of Copper Creek Community Church. Other than her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Fay Sanders and Betty Carol Carrico; brother Wesley Ball; brothers -in-law, Garney Williams and Samuel (Mack) Carrico.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, B.B. Quillen; sons, Tracey Quillen (Cindy) and David Quillen (Nikki); grandchildren, Nathaniel Quillen (Courtney) and Patrick Quillen; great-grandchildren, Allie Quillen, Sawyer Quillen and Jaxton Quillen; sister, Jaunita Williams; several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clayton Williams officiating. Music will be provided by Pine Grove Trio. Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holston View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Adam Sanders, Logan Sanders, Nathaniel Quillen, Patrick Quillen, Marty Hammonds and Bradon Hammonds.
