I worked with both Ann and Gerald, and also we were friends. He was a great leader and very enterprising. When we all had retired he suggested we do a shared canal trip in France, The Canal du Midi, with 2 other friends and former colleagues. It was a very special time. He, an experienced sailor, was also great at managing his less skilled friends. I was saddened to read that Gerry had passed and wish to pass on my condolences to you all . Not only was Gerry an amazing teacher at Heretaunga College that i was very privileged to have during my time there , he was also a very good friend of both my Mum and Dad's .
